Abstract or description

An anthology of writing, including prose, verse and drama, from the international language Esperanto, translated into English. The volume comprises contributions from some 70 authors, covering the 125-year history of Esperanto.

This is an edited volume but my own contribution includes an introduction (uploaded), explanatory notes to each of the translated works, two original pieces, 20 translations, and biographical profiles of the writers.

This is the first volume of its type presenting Esperanto to an English-speaking readership. It is the fifth in the series Lesser Used Languages of Europe published by Francis Boutle, London.
