Abstract or description

This paper follows on from the previous reflections of a randomised controlled trial (RCT) that carried out an intervention in partnership with an NHS hospital (Cust & Carter 2018). The aim of the initial pilot study was to explore the effect that peer support may have upon women diagnosed as having low mood within the antenatal period.
This paper will consider, for the benefit of a large national study taking place later in 2018, the implications that the recruitment for the study had for midwives. As key players in the success of the future study, the midwives’ views, reflections and suggestions will be sought on how the recruitment process may be made easier.
