Abstract or description

Anna Francis as invited to deliver a presentation on her artistic practice, and the role it has in creating social change in the city where she is based, as part of the Prospecting Symposium which took place in Taunton, Somerset in November, 2018.
'Prospecting' is a one-day symposium for artists exploring directions and territories for their practice.
Artists’ practices are characterised by persistence. Continuous research and development is punctuated and energised by creative interaction, provoked and inspired through multiple communications and dialogues, all the time gathering the momentum which drives and sustains them over a life-time.
The symposium offers participating artists new conversations, skills, insight and resources, providing space for independent and collective reflection and learning and exposing fresh ideas about collaboration and activism.
