Abstract or description

Anna Francis was commissioned by the British Ceramics Biennial to deliver a series of Wayward Walks for visitors to the Spode Factory during the Biennial. Recent work has involved explorations of city sites via the Victorian Language of Flowers, and this series of events involved discussions around the significance of the Spode Factory site to developments in printing techniques, via the wayward plants growing on the site, particularly focusing on the Brownfield areas of the Factory Site, to draw attention to this moment in the Sites History, as parts of the site wait for decisions to be made on development.
