Abstract or description

The aim of this paper is to discuss initial engagement with the Miscellaneous Reports Collection at RBG, Kew and the opportunities that the collection holds as an artistic resource. This will be undertaken by drawing on research that has led to this stage and as a way of framing contemporary art research methods with other research areas and debates: namely speculative practice (or speculative research) and appropriation in a colonial context.
