Abstract or description
The book examines key employment rights - individual and collective - and provides a commentary on the operation of the employment law regime, referring to topical issues, new developments, policies, and key sources (legislation, cases, and academic articles). Most aspects of the employment cycle are considered, including recruitment, the operation of the employment relationship, and termination. Key themes are explored and discussed: selection and recruitment, contracts of employment, the wage-work bargain, equalities and discrimination, dismissal and discipline, trades unions and collective rights, and workplace change.
