Abstract or description
The present invention relates to a sample collection apparatus, in particular a sample collection apparatus for collecting samples from the high vaginal and endocervical region. The sample collection apparatus can be used for obtaining a sample during a sexual assault examination. The apparatus can also be used in the collection of vaginal material for medical purposes, such as cervical smears for cervical screening. The apparatus can also be used to collect samples from the anal cavity.
