The theme of this session is to explore a range of technologies that enable the development of innovative solutions and work practices, and which can contribute to a range of organisational and environmental efficiencies.
Aims: (1) To outline key technologies and their associated applications, benefits and efficiencies in context of organisational agendas. (2) To develop an understanding of how and where new technologies can be applied to a range of healthcare settings.
Content: (I) Understand the impact of new technologies in healthcare settings and the opportunities for creating innovative, effective and efficient solutions; (ii) Learn about some of the latest technology innovations to support new ways of working; (iii) Identify new technology frameworks for enhancing your business processes. Subject areas include: Mobile Technologies: Mobile & Flexible Working Practices; Convergence – Unified Communications, Cloud Computing and Virtualisation; Sensor Technologies – Enhancing Processes and Performance.
