Abstract or description
Curated by Division of Labour, this exhibition at SYSON's Beck Street Project space includes works by Sara Bjarland, Ned James, Anna Francis, Ivan & Heather Morison and John Robinson. With Ikebana Interviews by Wayne Warren.
On the ground floor, Sam Curtis has commissioned a local florist to set-up their stock in the space. Without any pressure to sell the flowers or display them in a certain way, the florist has full creative control. The rest of the gallery will include selected works by guest artists based on the rich history of our close relationship to flowers.
For the exhibition, Anna Francis revisited 3 Brownfield's (previously visited in 2015) to create 3 different Brownfield Ikebana for display within the exhibition. These were accompanied by a limited edition set of 3 postcards, of the Ikebana made in 2012.
With thanks to WorkProjects and Hopstreet Gallery, Brussells. With support from Arts Council England.
