Abstract or description

Countless books and articles have been written about Shakespeare’s life, but uncertainty remains. There are gaps in his life story and there is continued argument surrounding his authorship. Archaeological evidence gathered from projects at New Place (his demolished former home) and his grave, have provided new understanding into him and his family and have proven the success of archaeology to compliment traditional Shakespearean research methods.
