Abstract or description

The IOS fixator is a single-use disposable external ﬁxator
designed for the treatment of unstable tibial shaft fractures. It is available in two sizes that accommodate most tibial fractures suitable for monolateral external ﬁxation. The IOS ﬁxator has been designed so that the elasticity of the ﬁxator bar allows a speciﬁc amount of cyclical movement on weight bearing to promote the growth of healing callus.

IOS ﬁxator short: designed for fracture lengths of less than 44mm

IOS ﬁxator long: designed for fracture lengths of between
44mm and 84mm
