Abstract or description

The IOS fixator is a single-use disposable external fixator
designed for the treatment of unstable tibial shaft fractures. It is available in two sizes that accommodate most tibial fractures suitable for monolateral external fixation. The IOS fixator has been designed so that the elasticity of the fixator bar allows a specific amount of cyclical movement on weight bearing to promote the growth of healing callus.

IOS fixator short: designed for fracture lengths of less than 44mm

IOS fixator long: designed for fracture lengths of between
44mm and 84mm
