Abstract or description

As long overdue conversations on the subject of disability and neurodivergence become more commonplace in electronic music, persistent issues of discrimination and lack of support continue to restrict access for many who wish to participate and make careers within the industry. Nevertheless, a wide range of artists, initiatives and collectives are pushing back on tired assumptions about disability and creativity. Here, Yewande Adeniran speaks to seven disabled DJs and producers (and one non-disabled creative technologist) working in electronic music today about their processes and artistic outlook.
