Abstract or description
A one-day summit exploring how a shared retrofit system can unlock healthier homes, thriving places and delivery at scale.
Retrofit matters. Obviously.
Retrofit, Obviously! is the National Retrofit Hub's first national summit, bringing together policymakers, community organisations, local authorities, housing providers, industry, finance, health, academia, and SMEs.
Hosted at Tipping Point East in London's Royal Docks, this free one-day event is designed to move the conversation beyond individual projects and towards a retrofit system that works for everyone.
Anna Francis and Rebecca Davies, Co-directors at The Portland Inn Project presented within the Healthy Neighbourhoods in Practice panel.
Description of presentation: Anna and Rebecca will reflect on a decade of community-led neighbourhood regeneration in Stoke-on-Trent, including retrofit of a community asset and recent community health impact assessment work. Their contribution will focus on understanding how health priorities have been identified and used to shape neighbourhood ambitions, what communities need beyond individual housing improvements, how health and environmental priorities emerge from lived experience, and how community-led evidence can influence local decision-making.
