Abstract or description

The demand for electric vehicles (EVs) is increasing as public awareness of the environmental impact of conventional vehicles grows. This study investigates lithium-ion batteries used in EVs, focusing on battery efficiency, ageing patterns, temperature effects in diverse environmental conditions, and the impact of charging practices on battery performance in various geographic regions. The findings underscore the paramount significance of temperature in battery performance, affecting energy storage and release. This study highlights the critical importance of temperature, particularly in challenging environments. Batteries operated at optimal temperatures and ideal charging/discharging rates demonstrate the potential to extend their lifespan by up to 50% compared to those operating under less favourable conditions.
