Abstract or description
Them & Us is a short film originally commission as a part of an exhibition called 'Battlelines' which was held at Airspace Gallery, Hanley, Stoke On Trent. This exhibition was Arts Council of England funded. This film is currently being submitted to Film Festivals.
Info on the film.
‘Them & Us’ is about the tension and structure of a forgotten landscape just outside the town of Stafford called Doxey Marshes. This landscape is a showcase for the natural environments constant development and change. The marshland has a major train track across it as well as the M6 Motorway.
The sun comes up and the rain pours down the landscape changes continually while the train track and motorway continue with no change. The film and corresponding soundtrack showcase a battle to be seen and heard from both elements.
