Abstract or description
Alcohol and its misuse cause much damage, individually, locally and nationally both in terms of health costs to the NHS and to the individual, but also in terms of crime, interpersonal violence, domestic violence, and drink driving. This report considers how a Total Place approach could add value to current partnership arrangements and plans for alcohol harm reduction. Following consultation with key strategic representatives of the Community Safety Partnership, frontline staff, service managers, other relevant personnel, and service users themselves, three specific, settings recommendations and six general recommendations, five short-term and one medium to long-term, are proposed for consideration.
