Abstract or description

This chapter will explore the advantages and challenges of using a multi-layered qualitative methodology when researching a health and social care setting. The chapter reflects on the practicalities and ethical challenges of participatory working. Creative and participatory mapping, interactive activities, participatory workshops and micro semi structured interviews led by peer researchers formed the methodological approach. This chapter is co-written with the organisation in which the research took place, the Bond Board, and drawn from the findings shared in a previously published project report (Goldstraw, 2018). It seeks to draw out best practice principles for co-produced creative approaches to participatory research.
