Abstract or description

Stoke-on-Trent became a National Lottery Heritage Fund priority place in 2024, and as a result, the Board of Trustees elected to host their annual meeting in the city, in order to understand more about the Place based heritage priorities here.

Anna Francis was invited to deliver a presentation and to take part in a panel discussion to discuss Heritage in Stoke at the event.
Francis was asked to specifically speak to the following points:
- What stands out to you personally about heritage in Stoke-on-Trent
- Key things to consider in working in place work in Stoke-on-Trent and with the people of Stoke-on-Trent including opportunities, potential and challenges
- The potential for heritage to support and stimulate action and change
